Description
The FM5902 carries the alignment and sealing duties at the top of the DE grid pack. Once an original hub is cracked or warped, the grids won’t seal evenly and water follows the path of least resistance. Replacing the manifold restores uniform distribution across the elements, steadier pressure, and cleaner water between service intervals.
Pro Tip
Inspect the standpipe and manifold O-ring surfaces while the tank is open. Replace flattened or nicked seals and tighten plastic hardware evenly—over-torqueing leads to future leaks.
