Description
The FMDEX2 takes the stress and alignment duties at the top of the element pack. When the original hub is cracked or warped, the grid or cartridge set won’t seal evenly and water finds the path of least resistance. Replacing the manifold brings back uniform distribution across the elements, steadier pressure, and cleaner water between service intervals.
Pro Tip
Check the standpipe and manifold O-ring surfaces while you’re in the tank. Replace any flattened or nicked seals and tighten fasteners by hand—over-torqueing plastic parts leads to future leaks.
